Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,643 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 552 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Piper PA-24-250 Comanche, then departed from runway 32 at EKSB Sønderborg Airport. The takeoff distance was 198 meters, which accounted for 11% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 71 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 250°. The crosswind was 6 knots, while the headwind was 2 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead EKSB Sønderborg Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 345 feet above sea level to 2,538 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,193 feet in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 3 miles southeast of Nordborg. This phase of the flight lasted for 20 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 44 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 1 mile northeast of Hornsyld. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,095 feet above sea level to 1,133 feet above sea level, a decrease of 963 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 2 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 3 miles north of Hornsyld. This phase of the flight lasted for 2 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, starting overhead Horsens. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,558 feet above sea level to 2,024 feet above sea level, an increase of 466 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 3 miles north of Horsens. This phase of the flight lasted for 29 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 69 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 2 miles south of Vodskov. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,467 feet above sea level to 1,765 feet above sea level, a decrease of 702 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26R at EKYT Aalborg Airport was made from the east, heading 240.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,748 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 26R, which had a length of 2,643 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 68 knots.
The touchdown point was 111 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 52 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was excellent at -77 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 330°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 858 meters, which accounted for 32% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 13.7 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered a distance of
The Piper PA-24-250 Comanche successfully landed at EKYT Aalborg Airport, achieving a score of 93.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 240.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,748 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, resulting in a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 68 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 111 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 52 knots. This indicates a controlled descent and a smooth landing. The touchdown rate was particularly impressive, with an excellent rate of -77 feet per minute (fpm). However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 7.6 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments in the pilot's approach technique.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 12°C and a gentle wind of 4 knots from 330°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. These conditions likely contributed to the smooth landing and controlled descent.
The total landing distance was 858 meters, which is 32% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 13.7 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments in the pilot's rollout technique.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases. However, there is room for improvement in terms of aligning the aircraft with the centerline during touchdown and rollout.
