Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,558 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,558 m of the 2,993 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 509 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving an impressive aircraft landing score of 98.3%! Your performance reflects a combination of excellent skills and meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire landing process.
In the Approach Phase, your perfect glideslope alignment demonstrates your ability to maintain precise control of the aircraft's descent, ensuring a smooth transition towards the runway. This level of accuracy is crucial for setting up a successful landing.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, your good threshold height and great landing flare display your mastery in judging the appropriate moment to initiate the landing process. This skill contributes to a safe and controlled touchdown, setting the stage for a successful completion of the landing.
During the Touchdown Phase, your smooth touchdown rate and on-target speed further highlight your proficiency in executing a precise landing. Additionally, landing 90 meters beyond the touchdown zone showcases your ability to adjust and correct as needed, ensuring a safe touchdown within a suitable distance from the intended point.
The runway touchdown position being 5.0 meters from the centerline indicates a high level of precision in aligning the aircraft with the runway. This attention to detail is essential for ensuring a smooth and safe rollout.
As you progressed into the Rollout Phase, maintaining a runway alignment of 4.8 meters from the centerline demonstrates your commitment to accuracy and precision throughout the entire landing process. This level of consistency contributes to a successful touchdown and a smooth transition towards taxiing off the runway.
Overall, your landing score of 98.3% is a testament to your exceptional skills and dedication to mastering the art of landing an aircraft. Keep up the excellent work, and continue to strive for perfection in every aspect of your flying. Well done!
