Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,527 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,527 m of the 2,795 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 380 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at LDZA Zagreb Franjo Tuđman International Airport. This process took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 04, taking off with a takeoff distance of 1,200 meters, which is 37% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 159 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 1°C temperature and a wind speed of 0 knots at 240 degrees. There was no crosswind or headwind. The enroute climb started overhead Velika Kosnica, a town in Zagreb County, Croatia, and continued to an altitude of 38,128 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,719 feet in 25 minutes, covering a distance of 136 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south of Tauplitz, a town in Steiermark, Austria. This phase lasted for 464 minutes, covering a distance of 146 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 3 miles northeast of Pappenheim, a town in Bavaria, Germany. The descent from 38,128 feet to 23,447 feet took 7 minutes, covering a distance of 38 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile south of Marktbergel, a town in Bavaria, Germany, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The descent phase started 1 mile northwest of Ohrenbach, a town in Bavaria, Germany, and continued to an altitude of 5,544 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,431 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 60 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started overhead Rodenbach, a town in Hessen, Germany, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The descent phase started 1 mile southeast of Maintal, a town in Hessen, Germany, and continued to an altitude of 1,725 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,093 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 9 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 25R at EDDF Frankfurt Airport was made from the east, heading 250.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,375 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown speed of 132 knots and a touchdown rate of -186 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the local weather conditions were 1°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 263 degrees, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,447 meters, which is 52% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 412 nautical miles, taking 89 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,196 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 25R at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) with an impressive score of 99.8%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,375 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot's final approach was executed with precision, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was a chilly 1 °C, while the wind was blowing at a moderate speed of 4 knots from a direction of 263°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind of 1 knot and a favorable headwind of 4 knots, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during its descent. The pilot's ability to adjust for these conditions was evident in the smooth touchdown.
Upon touching down on the runway, the aircraft's speed was recorded at 132 knots, which was within the acceptable threshold speed of 136 knots. The touchdown distance of 382 meters was also well within the expected range, indicating a controlled and precise landing. The aircraft's rate of descent at touchdown was a respectable -186 feet per minute, further emphasizing the pilot's skill and expertise.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft aligning itself precisely with the centerline of the runway. This is a critical aspect of landing, as it ensures a safe and controlled rollout. The total landing distance of 1,447 meters was 52% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight.
The rollout alignment after touchdown was also perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its alignment with the runway centerline. This is a testament to the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the critical phases of landing. Overall, the Airbus A320's landing on runway 25R at Frankfurt Airport was a textbook example of precision and skill, with a score of 99.8% reflecting the pilot's exceptional abilities.
