Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,494 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,370 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 18L at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT). The takeoff distance was 2,476 feet, which is 28% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 168 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 76°F and a wind speed of 19 knots from 210°. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 16 knots. The aircraft climbed from 1,738 feet above sea level to 29,056 feet above sea level, an increase of 27,318 feet, in 10 minutes and covering 34 nautical miles.
After reaching the desired altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 1 mile west of Lawndale, North Carolina. This cruise lasted for 7 minutes and covered 33 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, which started 4 miles north of Old Fort, North Carolina. The descent from 29,647 feet above sea level to 27,805 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,842 feet, took 2 minutes and covered 9 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 5 miles south of Mountain Air Airport in Burnsville, North Carolina. This cruise lasted for 23 minutes and covered 123 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent again, which started 8 miles northwest of Stearns, Kentucky. The descent from 27,675 feet above sea level to 20,039 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,636 feet, took 5 minutes and covered 25 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, which started 2 miles northeast of Russell County Jamestown Airport in Kentucky. This cruise lasted for 102 minutes and covered 505 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent once more, which started 4 miles north of Hopkins, Missouri. The descent from 19,783 feet above sea level to 2,249 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,533 feet, took 15 minutes and covered 58 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32R at Eppley Airfield (KOMA) was made from the southeast, heading 324.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,257 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 32R was successful, with a touchdown distance of 1,366 feet and a touchdown speed of 106 knots, which was slightly fast. The touchdown rate was good at -165 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 11 feet from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 9 knots from 260°. This resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 2,679 feet, which is 32% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 794 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 171 minutes. The aircraft used 2,907 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation aircraft successfully landed at KOMA Eppley Airfield, achieving a score of 94.7%. The final approach was conducted from the southeast, heading 324.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,257 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on runway 32R, which has a length of 8,494 feet.
The threshold height was satisfactory, but the threshold speed was slightly too high at 118 knots. However, the touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 1,366 feet. The touchdown speed of 106 knots was faster than ideal, but the touchdown rate of -165 feet per minute (fpm) was good. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 11 feet.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 9 knots from 260°. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance was 2,679 feet, which is approximately 32% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well under control during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was satisfactory, with some minor deviations from ideal performance.
