Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,987 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 516 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which took approximately 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-700, then departed from runway 10 at SBSV Deputado Luiz Eduardo Magalhães International Airport in Salvador, Brazil. The takeoff distance was 1,037 meters, which accounted for 35% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 145 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 30°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 80°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport. The climb took 12 minutes to reach a height of 33,968 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,913 feet from the initial altitude of 1,055 feet. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 72 nautical miles. The enroute climb was followed by a level cruise, which lasted for 5 minutes and covered 37 nautical miles. This cruise phase began 25 miles east of SNMR Maraú Airport in Maraú, Brazil.
The enroute descent phase started 16 miles east of Ilheus, Brazil, and took 22 minutes to descend from 33,961 feet to 1,706 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,255 feet. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 107 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 10 at SBPS Porto Seguro Airport was made from the west, with a heading of 76.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,532 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 10 at SBPS Porto Seguro Airport was successful, with a touchdown point 94 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was slightly above the target speed at 125 knots, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -102 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 26°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 50°.
The total landing distance was 1,175 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 223 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 50 minutes. The aircraft used 1,865 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-700 aircraft successfully landed at SBPS Porto Seguro Airport, achieving a high score of 99.4%. The final approach to runway 10 was conducted from the west, with a heading of 76.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,532 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being satisfactory. However, the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 125 knots. The touchdown point was located 94 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 120 knots was a bit faster than desired, but the touchdown rate of -102 feet per minute was smooth, indicating a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained a stable and aligned approach to the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 26°C and a gentle wind of 6 knots at 50°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots, which may have contributed to the slightly faster touchdown speed.
The total landing distance of 1,175 meters was 59% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and brought it to a stop in a stable and aligned manner. Overall, the landing was successful, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and landing phases.
