Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,193 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,193 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 203 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 26 at EHTE Teuge Airport, where the aircraft, a DA40-XLS, accelerated down the 1,193-meter runway and lifted off at a speed of 60 kt. The takeoff distance was 369 meters, which accounted for 31% of the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 15 °C and a wind speed of 10 kt from 234°, resulting in a 5 kt crosswind and an 8 kt headwind.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead Teuge in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. The climb was steep, with the aircraft rising from an altitude of 425 ft above sea level to 577 ft in less than 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. This rapid ascent was followed by a brief enroute level cruise, which lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile.
The final approach to runway 26 at EHTE Teuge Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 264.0° at an altitude of 97 ft above ground level and a distance of 0 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The landing was smooth, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 47 kt and a distance of 202 meters, which was 30% of the runway length. The touchdown rate was excellent at -97 ft per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were similar to those at takeoff, with a temperature of 15 °C and a wind speed of 2 kt from 239°, resulting in a 1 kt crosswind and a 2 kt headwind. The total landing distance was 358 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The total flight distance was 2 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 4 minutes. The aircraft used 43 kg of fuel during the flight.
The DA40-XLS aircraft successfully landed at EHTE Teuge Airport, achieving a high score of 99.1%. The final approach was conducted from the east, heading 264.0° at an altitude of 97 feet above ground level (agl) and 0 nautical miles from the runway. The aircraft touched down on runway 26, which has a length of 1,193 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway threshold. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 60 knots. Despite this, the touchdown distance of 202 meters was considered good, and the touchdown speed of 47 knots was also within acceptable limits.
The touchdown rate of -97 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a smooth and controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 2 knots from 239°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 2 knots. These conditions contributed to a smooth and stable approach.
The total landing distance of 358 meters was 30% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This suggests that the aircraft was able to touch down and come to a stop quickly and efficiently. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and touchdown phases. The high score of 99.1% reflects the pilot's skill and expertise in navigating the aircraft to a safe and controlled touchdown.
