MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,741 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 381 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a departure roll from runway 23 at HI01 Princeville Airport. The Vision Jet took off with a takeoff distance of 630 meters, which was 61% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 87 knots. At the time of departure, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 4 knots at 121 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 4 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Princeville Airport, it reached an altitude of 5,039 feet above sea level, increasing from an initial altitude of 829 feet. This climb took place over a distance of 14 nautical miles and lasted for 4 minutes. The aircraft then entered a level cruise, flying at a steady altitude for 2 minutes and covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. This cruise phase was followed by a descent, during which the aircraft lost 1,189 feet in altitude over a distance of 7 nautical miles and a duration of 2 minutes.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, flying at a steady altitude for 10 minutes and covering a distance of 45 nautical miles. This was followed by a climb, during which the aircraft gained 813 feet in altitude over a distance of 6 nautical miles and a duration of 2 minutes. The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, flying at a steady altitude for 10 minutes and covering a distance of 45 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent, losing 2,907 feet in altitude over a distance of 12 nautical miles and a duration of 4 minutes. The final approach to runway 08L at PHNL Daniel K Inouye International Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft flying at a heading of 90 degrees and an altitude of 1,265 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 08L was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 68 knots and a touchdown distance of 380 meters. The touchdown rate was also good, at -155 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 13 knots at 190 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 12 knots and a tailwind of 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 627 meters, which was 17% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned, by 17.1 meters from the centerline. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 102 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 30 minutes. The aircraft used 132 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Vision Jet aircraft successfully landed on runway 08L at PHNL Daniel K Inouye International Airport, achieving a score of 91.2%. The final approach was initiated from the west, heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,265 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft successfully touched down on the runway, with a touchdown speed of 68 knots, which was within the acceptable range.
The threshold height was reported as good, and the threshold speed was well above the target speed of 82 knots. The touchdown distance of 380 meters was also considered good. However, there were some minor issues with the alignment of the aircraft during the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 8.9 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 17.1 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 28°C and a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 190°. The crosswind component was 12 knots, while the tailwind component was 2 knots. The total landing distance of 627 meters was only 17% of the runway length, indicating a smooth and controlled landing.
Overall, the Vision Jet aircraft performed well during the landing, with a good touchdown speed, distance, and rate. However, the minor issues with alignment may require some adjustments to the aircraft's approach and landing procedures to achieve a perfect score.
