Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,007 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 214 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a quick taxiing process from the parking area to the runway, taking less than a minute and covering less than a nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna 208B, then departed from runway 19 at LEMH Menorca Airport, with a takeoff distance of 452 meters, which was 19% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 79 knots, and the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 16°C, a wind speed of 1 knot at 270°, and no crosswind or headwind.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it began its enroute climb from 2 miles southwest of Sant Lluis, Spain, reaching an altitude of 6,888 feet above sea level (asl) in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles. The climb was followed by a brief level cruise, lasting 2 minutes and covering 4 nautical miles, before another climb started 3 miles east of Es Castell, Spain. This climb took the aircraft from 7,164 ft asl to 11,503 ft asl, an increase of 4,340 ft in 5 minutes, covering 14 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its enroute descent from 16 miles east of Es Castell, Spain, descending from 11,523 ft asl to 7,110 ft asl, a decrease of 4,413 ft in 3 minutes, covering 10 nautical miles. This was followed by a prolonged level cruise, lasting 51 minutes and covering 150 nautical miles, before another descent started 11 miles west of Fertilia, Italy. The descent took the aircraft from 6,999 ft asl to 6,332 ft asl, a decrease of 667 ft in 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, lasting 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles, before beginning its final descent from 1 mile west of LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport, Alghero, Italy. This descent took the aircraft from 5,971 ft asl to 3,572 ft asl, a decrease of 2,399 ft in 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered another level cruise, lasting 2 minutes and covering 4 nautical miles, before beginning its final descent from 4 miles northeast of Olmedo, Italy.
The final approach to runway 20 at LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport was made from the northeast, with a heading of 204.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,233 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 211 meters, which was 14% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 63 knots, and the touchdown rate was hard at -414 feet per minute (fpm). However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.2 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 409 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing process from the runway to the parking area took 3 minutes and covered less than a nautical mile. The total flight distance was 223 nautical miles, taking 86 minutes, and the aircraft used 309 kilograms of fuel.
The Cessna 208B aircraft successfully landed at LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport, achieving a high score of 96.4%. The final approach to runway 20 was conducted from the north east, with a heading of 204.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,233 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 64 knots.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft performed well, with a touchdown distance of 211 meters and a touchdown speed of 63 knots. However, the touchdown rate was slightly hard, coming in at -414 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was also slightly misaligned, being 4.2 meters off the centerline. Despite these minor issues, the overall landing performance was satisfactory.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 1 knot from 270°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component and no headwind. The total landing distance was 409 meters, which accounted for only 14% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing roll.
Overall, the Cessna 208B aircraft demonstrated a high level of proficiency during the landing at LIEA Alghero-Fertilia Airport, with a score of 96.4%. While there were some minor issues with the touchdown rate and runway alignment, the overall performance was satisfactory, and the pilot's skills were well-demonstrated.
