MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,643 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 391 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 22R at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,383 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 156 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 22 knots from a direction of 179 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 14 knots and a headwind of 17 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles south of Tarnby in Region Hovedstaden, Denmark. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,036 feet above sea level to 4,112 feet, an increase of 3,076 feet, in just 1 minute and covering a distance of 3 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 4 miles southeast of EK55 Avedoere Avedoere in Region Hovedstaden, Denmark, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time starting 1 mile east of Greve in Region Sjaelland, Denmark. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 4,098 feet to 15,630 feet, an increase of 11,532 feet, in 5 minutes and covering a distance of 27 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles east of Liseleje in Region Hovedstaden, Denmark, and lasted for 11 minutes, covering a distance of 60 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 20 miles east of EKHS Hadsund Airfield Hadsund in the North Denmark Region, Denmark. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 15,577 feet to 3,860 feet, a decrease of 11,717 feet, in 5 minutes and covering a distance of 28 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northeast of Vester Hassing in the North Denmark Region, Denmark, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles south of EK02 Stagsted Stagsted in the North Denmark Region, Denmark. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 3,202 feet to 1,289 feet, a decrease of 1,914 feet, in 3 minutes and covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 26R at EKYT Aalborg Airport was made from the east, heading 263.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 26R, which had a length of 2,643 meters, was successful, with a good threshold height, threshold speed, touchdown distance, and touchdown speed. The touchdown rate was fair at -205 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 14 knots from a direction of 210 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 9 knots. The total landing distance was 1,131 meters, which accounted for 43% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 140 nautical
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at EKYT Aalborg Airport, achieving a high score of 98.7%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 263.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 26R, which has a length of 2,643 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 126 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 390 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 118 knots was also good.
However, the touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have touched down slightly harder than desired. Nevertheless, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 14 knots from 210°. The crosswind component was 11 knots, while the headwind component was 9 knots. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but the aircraft's performance was satisfactory.
The total landing distance of 1,131 meters was 43% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop quickly and safely after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft's performance was satisfactory despite some minor issues with the touchdown rate. The pilot's skills and the aircraft's capabilities were well-suited to the challenging weather conditions, and the landing was executed with precision and safety.
