Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,594 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 342 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at ENBO Bodø Airport, a process that took 8 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 07, with a takeoff distance of 1,131 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 163 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 6°C temperature and a wind speed of 15 knots at 20°. The crosswind was 13 knots, while the headwind was 8 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Bodo, with the aircraft ascending from 1,043 feet above sea level to 36,153 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,110 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 173 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 3 miles east of Grong, lasting 9 minutes and covering 135 nautical miles. However, the aircraft then began its descent 10 miles east of Tynset, with a decrease of 26,227 feet in 9 minutes, covering 89 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 5 miles southwest of Hamar, lasting 2 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles. The final descent started 2 miles north of Kolbu, with a decrease of 8,315 feet in 8 minutes, covering 28 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 19R at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, was made from the north, heading 196.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,279 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 342 meters and a touchdown speed of 134 knots, although it was slightly fast. The touchdown rate was hard at -485 feet per minute, but the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 8°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 110°, with a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 0 knots. The total landing distance was 1,064 meters, accounting for 30% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. The taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight distance was 441 nautical miles, taking 54 minutes and consuming 201 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 19R at ENGM Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, achieving a score of 95.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the north, heading 196.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,279 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot's final approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 134 knots, which is within the acceptable range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's performance was satisfactory, with a touchdown distance of 342 meters, which is within the expected range. However, the touchdown speed of 134 knots was slightly higher than the ideal speed, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown rate of -485 feet per minute (fpm) was also a bit hard, suggesting that the pilot may have been able to control the descent more gently.
Despite these minor issues, the pilot's performance during the landing was overall impressive. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained a stable and aligned approach to the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 8°C and a wind speed of 6 knots at 110°, were not particularly challenging, but the pilot still managed to achieve a smooth and controlled landing.
The total landing distance of 1,064 meters was 30% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and had brought it to a stop in a safe and controlled manner. Overall, the pilot's performance during this landing was commendable, and with a few minor adjustments, they could achieve an even higher score.
