Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,131 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 767 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Overall, your aircraft landing score of 91.2% is a commendable achievement. Your approach phase was particularly impressive, with excellent glideslope alignment and a speed well above target. This set a strong foundation for the landing, indicating good control and precision.
During the landing phase, while the threshold height was good, there were areas that could use improvement. The landing flare and bank angle stability were identified as poor, which may have contributed to a less than perfect landing. However, the touchdown phase showed great promise with an excellent touchdown rate and speed above target. It is worth noting that despite landing 379m beyond the touchdown zone, the touchdown position on the runway was very good, showcasing your ability to manage unexpected factors like crosswinds.
Speaking of crosswinds, landing with a 26 knot crosswind is no easy feat, but you managed it well. This demonstrates your skill and ability to adapt to challenging conditions.
Lastly, the rollout phase did have some room for improvement with the runway alignment slightly off centerline. However, this is a minor detail in an otherwise strong landing performance.
Overall, your landing score of 91.2% reflects a job well done. Keep up the good work and continue to refine your skills to further enhance your performance in future landings. Your dedication and skill are evident, and I have no doubt that with continued practice and focus, you will only continue to improve. Great job!
