MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,128 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,128 m of the 3,050 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 455 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The Boeing 777F then departed from runway 12L at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (KMSP), with a takeoff distance of 1,080 meters, which accounted for 44% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 172 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 1 °C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 190°. The crosswind component was 2 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile east of the airport and continued for 12 minutes, covering a distance of 67 nautical miles. During this period, the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,861 feet above sea level to 31,301 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,440 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 4 miles west of Montana in Wisconsin, United States. This phase lasted for 74 minutes and covered a distance of 476 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 5 miles northeast of the Harydale Farms Airport (CHD4) in Thamesford, Ontario, Canada. During this 18-minute period, the aircraft descended from an altitude of 31,395 feet above sea level to 6,985 feet above sea level, a decrease of 24,410 feet, and covered a distance of 94 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 3 miles northeast of Roseville in Michigan, United States. This phase lasted for only 2 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started overhead Fraser in Michigan, United States. During this 8-minute period, the aircraft descended from an altitude of 6,985 feet above sea level to 1,912 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,074 feet, and covered a distance of 23 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 22R at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (KDTW) was made from the northeast, with a heading of 209.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,251 feet above ground level. The aircraft landed on the runway, which had a length of 3,050 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 146 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 458 meters, and the touchdown speed was 145 knots, which was also satisfactory. The touchdown rate was smooth at -139 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 4 °C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 150°. The crosswind component was 1 knot, while the headwind component was 1 knot. The total landing distance was 2,050 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took approximately 7 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 672 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 122 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 15,622 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777F aircraft successfully landed at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (KDTW) on runway 22R, achieving a near-perfect score of 99.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northeast, heading 209.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,251 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was executed with precision, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 145 knots, which was within the threshold speed of 146 knots. The touchdown distance of 458 meters was also well within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown rate of -139 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, suggesting that the aircraft's engines were well-managed during the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 4°C and a gentle wind of 2 knots from a direction of 150°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, and the headwind component was also 1 knot, which helped to stabilize the aircraft during the landing. The runway length of 3,050 meters was more than sufficient to accommodate the aircraft's landing distance of 2,050 meters, which was 67% of the runway length.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline during the landing. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and evenly to bring the aircraft to a stop. Overall, the landing was a textbook example of a well-executed and safe landing, with the aircraft coming to a stop within a short distance of the runway threshold.
