Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,802 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 268 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 18 at SBRP Leite Lopes Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,205 meters, which accounted for 67% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 170 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 30 °C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 119 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started 1 mile south east of SBRP Leite Lopes Airport. The climb was from an initial altitude of 2,870 feet above sea level to 3,254 feet, an increase of 384 feet, which was achieved in less than 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 18 at SBRP Leite Lopes Airport was made from the north, with the aircraft heading 165.0 degrees at an altitude of 391 feet above ground level and a distance of 1 nautical mile from the runway. The landing was executed on runway 18, which had a length of 1,802 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 119 knots. The touchdown distance was 270 meters, which was within acceptable limits, although the touchdown speed of 114 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -302 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 27 °C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 120 degrees. The crosswind component was 2 knots, and the headwind component was 2 knots. The total landing distance was 1,004 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 9 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 11 minutes. The aircraft used 345 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at SBRP Leite Lopes Airport, achieving a high score of 99.0%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the north, heading 165.0° at a distance of 1 nautical mile and an altitude of 391 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the runway's length of 1,802 meters and its orientation.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft demonstrated good threshold height and speed, reaching 119 knots. The touchdown distance was also satisfactory, measuring 270 meters. However, the touchdown speed of 114 knots was slightly above the optimal range, indicating a minor deviation from the ideal landing parameters. The touchdown rate of -302 feet per minute (fpm) was firm, suggesting a controlled descent.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 27°C and a gentle wind of 3 knots at 120°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was also 2 knots. These conditions contributed to a smooth and stable approach.
The total landing distance of 1,004 meters was within the acceptable range, accounting for 56% of the runway's length. This indicates that the pilot effectively managed the aircraft's speed and descent rate to minimize the landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing phase.
Overall, the Airbus A320's landing at SBRP Leite Lopes Airport was a success, with the pilot executing a precise and controlled approach, touchdown, and rollout. The minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters were negligible, and the aircraft's performance was satisfactory in the given weather conditions.
