Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,127 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 360 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport, taking 11 minutes and covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 23, with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 158 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 250 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 6 knots.
As the aircraft began its enroute climb, it started 1 mile west of the airport and ascended from an altitude of 1,584 feet above sea level to 34,121 feet, an increase of 32,538 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 107 nautical miles. The climb took place over the surrounding landscape, with the aircraft passing overhead Holcomb in New York, United States, before leveling off at cruise altitude.
The enroute level cruise lasted for 20 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 165 nautical miles. Following this, the aircraft began its enroute descent, starting 2 miles east of Green Island in New York, United States. The descent took place from an altitude of 33,976 feet to 1,308 feet, a decrease of 32,668 feet, in 25 minutes and covering a distance of 123 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its final approach to runway 27 at Logan International Airport, heading 257.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 9 knots from a direction of 280 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 8 knots.
The aircraft landed on runway 27, with a touchdown speed of 144 knots, which was faster than the target speed. The touchdown distance was 357 meters, and the touchdown rate was very hard at -538 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also excellent.
Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 5 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 407 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 79 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 2,754 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at KBOS Logan International Airport, achieving a score of 95.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 257.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 27, which has a length of 2,127 meters.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold height was good, indicating that the pilots maintained a safe altitude before touching down on the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 144 knots. This may have been due to the pilots' decision to prioritize a safe touchdown over a precise speed target.
The touchdown distance of 357 meters was within acceptable limits, indicating that the pilots maintained control of the aircraft during the landing. However, the touchdown speed of 144 knots was faster than desired, which may have contributed to the hard touchdown rate of -538 feet per minute (fpm). A hard touchdown rate can be a concern, as it may indicate that the aircraft's landing gear and other components are subjected to excessive stress.
Despite the hard touchdown rate, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilots maintained a stable and controlled approach. The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 2°C and a wind speed of 9 knots from 280°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 8 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,092 meters was 51% of the runway length, which is within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilots maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase of the landing. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilots demonstrated good control and decision-making skills throughout the approach and landing phases.
