Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,611 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,611 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 278 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, taking approximately 6 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 03R, with a takeoff distance of 1,233 meters, which is 36% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 166 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 25°C temperature and a wind speed of 10 knots at 80°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 7 knots. The enroute climb started approximately 1 mile south-west of Artemida, Greece, and the aircraft ascended from 1,342 feet above sea level to 34,308 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,966 feet, in 19 minutes and covering a distance of 91 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began overhead Glyfada, Central Greece, and lasted for 76 minutes, covering a distance of 638 nautical miles. The aircraft then underwent another enroute climb, this time from 34,100 feet above sea level to 40,098 feet above sea level, an increase of 5,998 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 12 nautical miles.
The aircraft then began its descent, first from 40,366 feet above sea level to 39,813 feet above sea level, a decrease of 553 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 11 nautical miles. The enroute climb started again overhead Panchia, Italy, and the aircraft ascended from 39,446 feet above sea level to 39,988 feet above sea level, an increase of 542 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 1 mile north-east of Laives, Italy, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent again, this time from 39,985 feet above sea level to 34,217 feet above sea level, a decrease of 5,768 feet, in 2 minutes and covering a distance of 12 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started once more, this time 1 mile south-east of San Leonardo in Passiria, Italy, and lasted for 29 minutes, covering a distance of 136 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, from 33,408 feet above sea level to 1,642 feet above sea level, a decrease of 31,766 feet, in 22 minutes and covering a distance of 107 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport was made from the east, heading 250.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,291 feet above ground level. The landing took place on the runway, which had a length of 3,984 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 134 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 280 meters, but the touchdown speed of 132 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -246 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 11°C temperature and a wind speed of 13 knots at 0°. The crosswind component was 12 knots, and the tailwind component was 5 knots. The total landing distance was 1,539 meters, which is 39% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.1 meters from the centreline.
The taxiing from the runway to the parking area took approximately 5 minutes and covered a distance
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) with a score of 97.6%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,291 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was recorded at 134 knots, which is within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 132 knots was slightly faster than desired, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown distance of 280 meters was also within the acceptable range.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 11°C and a wind speed of 13 knots from a direction of 0°. This resulted in a crosswind of 12 knots and a tailwind of 5 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The total landing distance of 1,539 meters was 39% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance.
Although the landing was generally successful, there was a slight misalignment of the runway rollout alignment by 8.1 meters from the centerline. This may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's control inputs during the rollout phase. However, this deviation was relatively minor and did not significantly impact the overall safety of the landing.
Overall, the Airbus A320's landing on runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport was a safe and successful operation, with the pilot demonstrating good control and management of the aircraft throughout the approach and landing phases.
