Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,996 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 409 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Dublin Airport, taking 10 minutes and covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 10R, with a takeoff distance of 1,698 meters, which was 65% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 159 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 9 knots at 170 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it started its enroute climb 1 mile north-east of Ballymun, Ireland, at an altitude of 1,242 feet above sea level. The climb continued for 22 minutes, covering a distance of 149 nautical miles, and resulted in an increase of 35,878 feet in altitude, reaching a maximum altitude of 37,120 feet above sea level.
The enroute level cruise started 1 mile south of Disley, England, and lasted for 51 minutes, covering a distance of 400 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 6 miles north of Oksbol, Denmark, and descended from 37,224 feet above sea level to 16,240 feet above sea level, a decrease of 20,984 feet in altitude, in just 11 minutes and covering a distance of 73 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, this time starting 4 miles south-east of EK76 Tunø Airstrip Løkkegårde, Denmark, and lasting for 5 minutes, covering a distance of 30 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 5 miles west of Asnaes, Denmark, and the aircraft descended from 16,187 feet above sea level to 2,660 feet above sea level, a decrease of 13,527 feet in altitude, in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 52 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, starting 1 mile south of EKFE Aversi Fensmark, Denmark, and lasting for 7 minutes, covering a distance of 24 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 7 miles east of Koge, Denmark, and the aircraft descended from 2,689 feet above sea level to 1,291 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,397 feet in altitude, in just 3 minutes and covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 04L at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport was made from the south-west, heading 41.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,271 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 04L, which had a length of 2,996 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 133 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 408 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -252 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.5 meters from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 0 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 17 knots at 80 degrees. The crosswind was 11 knots, and the headwind was 14 knots. The total landing distance was 1,173 meters, which was 39% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area from the runway, taking 8 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 747 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 131 minutes. The aircraft used 3,910 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 04L at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport, achieving a high score of 97.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 41.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,271 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a critical aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was within the acceptable range at 133 knots. However, the touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have contributed to a fair touchdown rate of -252 feet per minute (fpm). The touchdown distance of 408 meters was also within the acceptable range.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 0°C, with a wind speed of 17 knots at 80°. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 14 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilot managed to maintain a good runway touchdown position, albeit slightly misaligned by 6.5 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance of 1,173 meters was 39% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good skills and judgment in navigating the aircraft through challenging weather conditions.
