MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,588 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,588 m of the 3,595 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 740 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Embraer E195 taxied from the parking area to runway 36 at Milano Linate Airport (LIML) in a taxi-out lasting 9 minutes and covering 3 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 36, the aircraft accelerated over a takeoff distance of 1,116 m, representing 46 % of the runway, and lifted off at 136 kt. Ambient temperature was 37 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 111°, a crosswind component of 2 kt and a tailwind component of 1 kt.
Climb commenced overhead RB11 Idroscalo Milan, with the airplane ascending from 1,331 ft asl to 33,927 ft asl, a gain of 32,596 ft achieved in 11 minutes while covering 69 nm.
The first cruise segment began 3 mi east of Ceto, Lombardia, and continued for 27 minutes, during which the aircraft flew 185 nm at level altitude.
Descent started 1 mi south-west of Oberweg, Steiermark, Austria, with the aircraft descending from 33,773 ft asl to 8,184 ft asl, a loss of 25,589 ft in 13 minutes while traversing 81 nm.
A second cruise phase was initiated 1 mi south-east of Pitten, Niederösterreich, Austria, lasting 5 minutes and covering 24 nm at constant altitude.
The next descent began overhead Trausdorf an der Wulka, Burgenland, Austria, with a reduction from 7,993 ft asl to 1,905 ft asl, a decrease of 6,088 ft completed in 10 minutes over 34 nm.
For the final approach to runway 34 at Vienna International Airport (LOWW), the aircraft approached from the south on a heading of 344.0° at 4 nm and 1,306 ft agl.
Landing on runway 34 was executed with a threshold speed of 130 kt; touchdown occurred 326 m beyond the touchdown zone at 120 kt, with a vertical speed of minus 202 fpm. The touchdown point was offset 16.5 m from the centreline. Local conditions were 26 °C, wind 3 kt from 0°, crosswind 1 kt and headwind 3 kt. The total landing distance measured 1,510 m, equivalent to 42 % of the runway length.
During rollout the aircraft remained misaligned by 16.5 m from the centreline, consistent with the touchdown offset.
The Embraer E195 taxied from the runway to the parking area in a taxi-in of 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
Overall, the flight covered 403 nm, required 81 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 2,031 kg of fuel.
The Embraer E195 performed a final approach to runway 34 at LOWW Vienna International Airport from the south, tracking a heading of 344.0° at 4 nm and 1,306 ft agl; the approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, and the flight earned a score of 84.1 %.
During the threshold and flare phase the runway length of 3,600 m provided a good threshold height, the threshold speed was good at 130 kt, the touchdown speed was good at 120 kt, and the touchdown rate was fair at minus 202 fpm; the aircraft touched down 326 m beyond the touchdown zone.
Touchdown occurred with the aircraft aligned 16.5 m off the centreline, speed remaining at 120 kt and rate at minus 202 fpm, confirming the lateral deviation noted at the touchdown point.
Rollout covered a total landing distance of 1,510 m, representing 42 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment remained misaligned by 16.5 m from the centreline; local weather was 26 °C with a 3-kt headwind and 1-kt crosswind.
To improve the overall performance, focus on maintaining precise centreline alignment during the flare and rollout to reduce the 16.5 m lateral deviation, which will enhance runway usage efficiency while preserving the solid score already achieved.
