Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,483 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 394 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question took place at Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport, EDSB. The aircraft, a C750, departed from runway 21 and initiated takeoff roll, covering 198 meters (8% of the 2,483-meter runway) to achieve liftoff speed of 129 knots. The local weather at the time of takeoff was characterized by a temperature of 17°C and a wind speed of 7 knots at 220°, resulting in a headwind of 7 knots.
Following liftoff, the aircraft began its enroute climb from an altitude of 1,419 feet above sea level, reaching 13,250 feet by covering 11 nautical miles in 4 minutes. This represented an increase of 11,831 feet. The aircraft then cruised at level altitude for a short period, covering 22 nautical miles in 5 minutes before starting its descent. The descent commenced 1 mile north of ED48 Schwann-Conweiler Airfield Neuenburg and continued until the aircraft reached an altitude of 4,052 feet, a decrease of 9,197 feet in 5 minutes and covering 12 nautical miles. A brief level cruise ensued overhead Rheinstetten, lasting 2 minutes and covering 3 nautical miles.
The second descent began overhead Au am Rhein and concluded at 1,688 feet, a decrease of 2,145 feet in 3 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then approached runway 21 at EDSB from the north east, heading 212.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,274 feet above ground level.
Landing on runway 21, the aircraft touched down at 393 meters, which was slightly beyond the desirable distance considering a runway length of 2,483 meters. The touchdown speed was 114 knots, which was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -145 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 3.4 meters.
The local weather during landing was characterized by a temperature of 19°C and a wind speed of 8 knots at 220°, resulting in a headwind of 8 knots and a negligible crosswind of 1 knot. The total landing distance was 1,357 meters, which represented 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was considered very good.
Following landing, the aircraft underwent taxiing to the parking area, a process that took 9 minutes and covered 1 nautical mile. The flight utilized a total of 354 kilograms of fuel and covered a distance of 61 nautical miles, using 27 minutes to complete the flight.
The aircraft, identified as C750, conducted a landing operation at Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (EDSB), targeting runway 21 as its destination. The pilot executed a final approach from the north-east direction, maintaining a heading of 212.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold and at an altitude of 1,274 feet above ground level.
The touchdown on runway 21 was successful, with the aircraft landing at a speed of 119 knots, meeting the threshold speed requirements. Additionally, the landing distance of 393 meters was well within the expected range, reflecting a good execution of the landing. Notably, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 114 knots, which was slightly higher than the ideal value. However, the touchdown rate of -145 feet per minute (fpm) was smooth, indicating a well-controlled descent.
While the landing overall was good, there were a couple of minor discrepancies. The pilot misaligned the aircraft with the runway centreline by 3.4 meters during touchdown. Nevertheless, during runway rollout, the aircraft maintained a very good alignment, signifying the pilot's continued proficiency in control.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were mild, with a temperature of 19°C, and a moderate headwind of 8 knots blowing from 220°. The relatively light wind did not significantly impact the landing operation, with a minimal crosswind of 1 knot.
Overall, the C750's 98.4% score reflects a well-executed landing procedure, taking into account the various parameters evaluated. The aircraft successfully utilized the runway 21 at Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport efficiently, adhering to the standard landing criteria.
