MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,448 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 407 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A330-900 taxied from the parking area to runway 30 at LPPD João Paulo II Airport in 4 minutes, covering 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 30, the aircraft accelerated to a liftoff speed of 164 kt and left the ground after a take-off distance of 1,367 m, which represented 61 % of the runway; local weather was 28 °C with wind 4 kt at 209 °, a crosswind component of 4 kt and a headwind component of 1 kt.
Climb commenced overhead Relva in the Azores, with the airplane ascending from 995 ft asl to 39,986 ft asl, an increase of 38,992 ft achieved in 29 minutes while covering 209 nm.
The first cruise segment began at latitude 38.4728211, longitude -21.7654666 and continued for 165 minutes, during which 1,322 nm were flown.
Descent started 1 mile south-west of Wez-Velvain in Wallonia, Belgium, with the aircraft descending from 40,002 ft asl to 7,695 ft asl, a loss of 32,307 ft in 20 minutes over a distance of 123 nm.
A brief cruise segment followed 1 mile north-west of Burgerveen in the Netherlands, lasting 2 minutes and covering 7 nm.
The next descent began overhead Lijnden, Netherlands, with a reduction from 7,124 ft asl to 2,289 ft asl, a decrease of 4,835 ft completed in 5 minutes across 17 nm.
A further cruise segment started overhead Muiden, Netherlands, lasting 3 minutes and covering 6 nm.
For the final approach to runway 27 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the aircraft approached from the east on a heading of 267.0 °, at 4 nm and 1,249 ft agl.
Landing on runway 27, which is 3,448 m long, was executed with a threshold speed of 141 kt; touchdown occurred 407 m down the runway at a speed of 144 kt and a touchdown rate of minus 188 fpm. Local weather at the time was 18 °C with wind 10 kt at 290 °, a crosswind of 4 kt and a headwind of 9 kt. The total landing distance was 1,095 m, representing 32 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was recorded as perfect.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 1,691 nm, lasted 233 minutes, and consumed 19,338 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 27 at EHAM was flown from the east on a heading of 267.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,249 ft agl. At the 1,000 ft gate the approach was assessed as stabilised, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits.
During the threshold and flare the aircraft presented a good threshold height and the threshold speed was good at 141 kt.
Touchdown occurred 407 m down the runway, a good distance, with a touchdown speed of 144 kt that was a little fast. The vertical rate at touchdown was good at minus 188 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The total landing distance was 1,095 m, representing 32 % of the 3,448 m runway, and rollout alignment was perfect.
The touchdown speed being slightly above the target suggests a minor refinement of flare timing to achieve the intended speed without compromising alignment. Maintaining the planned speed envelope will help keep the landing distance well within runway limits.
