MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 1,000 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,037 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 556 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, the Airbus A320 began its journey on runway 35L, accelerating down the 2,052-meter stretch to reach a liftoff speed of 166 knots. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius and a gentle wind of 3 knots from 144 degrees, resulting in a negligible crosswind component.
As the aircraft climbed out of Lyon, it transitioned into an enroute climb phase, reaching an altitude of 35,695 feet above sea level in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 101 nautical miles. The climb was initiated overhead Pusignan, and the aircraft continued to ascend until it reached the cruise altitude. The enroute level cruise phase lasted for 9 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 56 nautical miles, flying 1 mile south-east of Ornans. Following the cruise phase, the aircraft began its enroute descent, descending from 35,996 feet to 2,543 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 100 nautical miles. The descent phase was initiated overhead Galfingue.
The Airbus A320 then entered the final approach phase, aligning itself with runway 07 at Stuttgart Airport from the west. The aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 133 knots, slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 138 knots. The touchdown point was 141 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile in 3 minutes. The total flight distance was 266 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 2,189 kilograms of fuel during the journey, which lasted a total of 55 minutes.
The final approach to runway 07 at EDDS Stuttgart Airport from the west was executed with precision, with the aircraft heading 74.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,301 feet above ground level. The approach quality was excellent, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 138 knots, well within the acceptable range. The aircraft touched down 141 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 133 knots, slightly above the ideal range but not excessively so.
The touchdown characteristics were firm, with a rate of -326 feet per minute, indicating a controlled descent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, with the aircraft centered on the runway. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 11°C and a gentle tailwind of 1 knot, contributed to a smooth landing. The crosswind component was negligible, at 0 knots.
The total landing distance of 1,280 meters, accounting for 42% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, with the aircraft maintaining its centerline alignment throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed with high precision, earning a score of 97.9%.
