Keep the taxi smooth
Turn speed is limited by lateral load on the tyres and the people in the back, and lateral acceleration goes with the square of speed. On an illustrative 25 m turn radius, 10 kt produces about 0.11 g of side load, while 20 kt produces about 0.43 g. Doubling the speed quadruples the load. That square law is the entire content of the "10 knots in turns" rule, and it tells you why a slightly-too-fast turn feels fine and a moderately-too-fast one throws the cabin crew across the galley.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,713 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 501 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 737-600 taxied from the parking area to runway 04L at PHNL Daniel K Inouye International Airport, a movement that required 5 minutes and covered 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 04L, the aircraft used 852 m of runway, representing 40 % of the available length, and lifted off at 137 kt. Ambient conditions were 31 °C with a wind of 6 kt from 030°, including a 3 kt cross-wind component and a 6 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced 1 mile northeast of PHNL, with the airplane ascending from 954 ft asl to 40 994 ft asl, an altitude gain of 40 040 ft achieved in 45 minutes while covering 352 nm.
The first level-cruise segment began at latitude 24.2063332, longitude -152.6506963 and persisted for 202 minutes, during which 1 720 nm were flown.
Descent was initiated 68 miles southwest of KVBG Vandenberg Space Force Base, with the aircraft descending from 40 808 ft asl to 2 212 ft asl, a loss of 38 596 ft over 27 minutes and a distance of 169 nm.
A brief cruise followed, starting 1 mile west of Culver City, lasting 3 minutes and covering 14 nm before the final approach.
The final approach to runway 24R at KLAX Los Angeles International Airport was flown from the east, on a heading of 263.0°, at 4 nm and 1 299 ft agl.
Landing on runway 24R, which is 2 713 m long, occurred with a threshold speed slightly above target at 125 kt. Touchdown was recorded 79 m beyond the touchdown zone at 116 kt, with a smooth touchdown rate of minus 114 fpm and perfect runway-centerline alignment. Local weather at the time was 21 °C with a wind of 3 kt from 250°, including a 1 kt cross-wind and a 2 kt head-wind component.
The aircraft rolled out over a total landing distance of 952 m, representing 35 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment remained perfect.
After exiting the runway, the airplane taxied to the parking area, a movement that took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 2 262 nm, took 287 minutes, and consumed 11 517 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-600 approached runway 24R at KLAX from the east on a final approach heading 263.0° at 4 nm and 1,299 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, and the aircraft carried a score of 100.0 % for the final approach.
At threshold the runway length was 2,713 m and the threshold height was described as good. The threshold speed was slightly above target at 125 kt.
Touchdown occurred 79 m beyond the touchdown zone with a touchdown speed of 116 kt, noted as a little fast. The touchdown rate was smooth at -114 fpm and runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The total landing distance was 952 m, representing 35 % of the runway, and rollout alignment was perfect.
Maintain the target threshold and touchdown speeds more closely to eliminate the slight excess; a modest reduction of a few knots will bring the speeds within the intended envelope while preserving the excellent alignment and smooth rate already demonstrated.
