Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,477 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,477 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 230 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a 10-minute taxiing period from the parking area to the runway at Narsarsuaq Airport (BGBW), covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 06, with a takeoff distance of 247 meters, which accounted for 13% of the runway. The aircraft, an SR22, lifted off at a speed of 79 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of Narsarsuaq Airport, it encountered local weather conditions of 12°C temperature and a wind speed of 23 knots at 70°. The crosswind component was 11 knots, while the headwind component was 20 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile northeast of the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,006 feet above sea level to 22,476 feet above sea level, a total increase of 21,470 feet, in 18 minutes and covering 42 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 27 minutes and covered a distance of 572 nautical miles. This phase began 43 miles east of Narsarsuaq Airport. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 33 miles southwest of Sandgerdi, Iceland, descending from 22,751 feet above sea level to 1,502 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 21,249 feet, in 20 minutes and covering 53 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 01 at Reykjavik Airport (BIRK) was made from the south, with the aircraft heading 356.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,469 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 1,477 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 80 knots, while the touchdown distance was 229 meters. The touchdown speed was 71 knots, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -50 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.4 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 5°C temperature and a wind speed of 14 knots at 339°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 13 knots. The total landing distance was 896 meters, which accounted for 61% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 675 nautical miles, which was completed in 78 minutes, and the aircraft used 170 kilograms of fuel.
The SR22 aircraft successfully landed at BIRK Reykjavik Airport, achieving a high score of 94.9%. The final approach to runway 01 was conducted from the south, with the aircraft heading 356.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,469 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 80 knots. The touchdown distance was within acceptable limits at 229 meters, and the touchdown speed of 71 knots was also good. Notably, the touchdown rate was excellent at -50 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
However, there was a slight deviation in the runway touchdown position, with the aircraft being 4.4 meters off-centerline. This may be attributed to the crosswind component, which was relatively low at 4 knots. The headwind, on the other hand, was more significant at 13 knots, which may have contributed to the slight misalignment.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 5°C and a wind speed of 14 knots from 339°. The aircraft's performance was not significantly impacted by the weather, and the pilot was able to maintain control throughout the landing.
The total landing distance was 896 meters, which is 61% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control and stability throughout the landing roll.
Overall, the SR22 aircraft's landing at BIRK Reykjavik Airport was a successful one, with the pilot demonstrating good control and judgment throughout the approach and landing phases.
