Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,929 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,929 m of the 3,987 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 485 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A321, then departed from runway 04R at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, a major airport located in Nice, France. The takeoff distance was 1,277 meters, which accounted for 43% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 18 knots at an angle of 80 degrees.
The wind conditions resulted in a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 15 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead the Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 802 feet above sea level to 31,251 feet above sea level, an increase of 30,449 feet, in 17 minutes and covering a distance of 92 nautical miles. The enroute climb phase ended when the aircraft reached the cruising altitude.
The enroute level cruise phase began overhead the town of Bargagli in Liguria, Italy, and lasted for 22 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 149 nautical miles. The cruise phase was followed by the enroute descent phase, which started 4 miles south of the town of San Pancrazio in Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 31,579 feet above sea level to 2,811 feet above sea level, a decrease of 28,768 feet, in 21 minutes and covering a distance of 112 nautical miles.
The final approach to the runway was made from the west, heading 83.0 degrees, at an altitude of 1,332 feet above ground level and 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 08R at Munich Airport, a major airport located in Munich, Germany. The runway length was 3,987 meters, and the threshold height at 59 feet above ground level was slightly above the target. The threshold speed was good at 138 knots.
The touchdown point was 73 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -263 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at an angle of 40 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,852 meters, which accounted for 46% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating a smooth and controlled rollout. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 362 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 75 minutes. The aircraft used 3,477 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A321 successfully landed at EDDM Munich Airport, achieving a score of 99.0%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the west, heading 83.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,332 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was conducted with a clear understanding of the aircraft's position and speed, ultimately resulting in a smooth touchdown.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 08R, which has a length of 3,987 meters. The threshold height at 59 feet agl was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was well within the acceptable range at 138 knots. The touchdown point was 73 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly faster than ideal, but the touchdown rate of -263 feet per minute (fpm) was fair.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5°C and a wind speed of 4 knots at 40°. The crosswind component was minimal at 3 knots, while the headwind component was also 3 knots. These conditions did not pose a significant challenge to the landing, and the aircraft's alignment with the runway was perfect.
The total landing distance of 1,852 meters was 46% of the runway length, which is a relatively efficient use of the available space. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively to bring the aircraft to a stop. Overall, the landing was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
