Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,614 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,614 m of the 3,602 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 567 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320 taxied from the parking area to runway 36R at LTAI Antalya International Airport, covering 6 nm in 14 minutes.
During the departure roll on runway 36R, the aircraft used 2,180 m of runway (64 % of the available length) and lifted off at 167 kt. Ambient conditions were 30 °C with a wind of 5 kt from 331°, providing a 4 kt headwind and a 3 kt cross-wind component.
Climb commenced 1 mile north-east of LTAI Antalya, with the airplane ascending from 1,181 ft asl to 34,237 ft asl - a gain of 33,056 ft - over 24 minutes while covering 167 nm.
The first cruise segment began 11 nm east of Kavaklidere (Mugla, Turkey) and persisted for 191 minutes, during which 1,424 nm were flown.
Descent started 24 nm north-west of Middelkerke (Flanders, Belgium), dropping from 33,845 ft asl to 7,559 ft asl - a loss of 26,286 ft - in 16 minutes and spanning 92 nm.
A second cruise phase was initiated 1 nm south-west of Abridge (Essex, England) and lasted 7 minutes, covering 29 nm.
The subsequent descent began 1 nm north-east of Bourne End (Buckinghamshire, England), reducing altitude from 6,659 ft asl to 1,365 ft asl - a decrease of 5,294 ft - in 5 minutes and traversing 17 nm.
For the final approach, the aircraft aligned with runway 09L at EGLL London Heathrow Airport from the west, maintaining a heading of 90.0° at 4 nm and 1,279 ft agl.
Landing on runway 09L, which is 3,602 m long, the threshold speed was recorded at 136 kt. Touchdown occurred 128 m beyond the touchdown zone at 127 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 246 fpm and very good runway alignment. Local weather at the time was 16 °C with a wind of 5 kt from 60°, giving a 4 kt headwind and a 3 kt cross-wind component. The total landing distance measured 1,510 m, representing 42 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was perfect, completing the landing roll within the measured 1,510 m distance.
After exiting the runway, the Airbus A320 taxied to the parking area, covering 1 nm in 9 minutes.
In total, the flight covered 1,744 nm, required 266 minutes of elapsed time, and consumed 10,515 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A320 executed a final approach to runway 09L at EGLL London Heathrow from the west, maintaining a heading of 90.0° at 4 nm and 1,279 ft agl. The approach was assessed as stabilised at the 1,000 ft gate, with gear, flaps, sink rate, glideslope and centreline all within limits, contributing to the overall score of 98.1%.
At threshold the height was good and the threshold speed was good at 136 kt. Local weather was temperature 16 °C, wind 5 kt at 60°, with a 3 kt cross-wind component and a 4 kt head-wind component.
Touchdown occurred 128 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 127 kt that was good and a touchdown rate that was fair at minus 246 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The aircraft rolled out over a total landing distance of 1,510 m, representing 42 % of the 3,602 m runway, and runway rollout alignment was perfect.
Fine-tune flare timing to achieve a slightly shallower descent rate and aim to touch down nearer the designated touchdown zone to keep the touchdown point within the first 100 m of the zone.
