Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: seven checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out. These checks are the approach's score.
At the 500 ft gate: centreline 5.0° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,671 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 487 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777F departed NZAA Auckland International Airport on runway 23L, applying a take-off roll of 805 m which represented 22 % of the available runway. Liftoff was achieved at 162 kt. Ambient conditions were 16 °C with a wind from 260° at 27 kt, including a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 27 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced directly overhead the departure airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,006 ft asl to 1,562 ft asl, a gain of 556 ft achieved in 1 minute while covering 4 nm.
Level cruise began 3 miles south of the airport and continued for 4 minutes, during which the flight covered 11 nm at the planned cruise altitude.
The final approach to runway 23L was initiated, positioning the aircraft for a stabilized descent path toward the threshold.
Descent from 1,044 ft agl to 64 ft agl was completed in 80 seconds, meeting the required stabilization gates.
Landing was executed on runway 23L, whose total length is 3,671 m. The threshold height was satisfactory and the threshold speed recorded was 143 kt. Touchdown occurred 63 m beyond the touchdown zone at a speed of 134 kt, with a hard touchdown rate of minus 407 fpm. The touchdown point was laterally offset by 14.7 m from the centreline. Weather at the time was 14 °C with a wind from 270° at 19 kt, comprising a 6 kt cross-wind and an 18 kt head-wind. The total landing distance measured 1,126 m, representing 31 % of the runway.
Runway rollout showed a slight lateral deviation, with the aircraft aligned 14.1 m off the centreline during the deceleration phase.
In total, the flight covered 19 nm, required 8 minutes, and consumed 25,196 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 23L at NZAA Auckland International Airport descended from 1,044 ft agl to 64 ft agl in 80 seconds and was scored on the stabilisation gates, indicating the approach met the required criteria. Local weather was 14 °C with wind 19 kt from 270°, providing a 6 kt cross-wind component and an 18 kt head-wind.
At threshold the aircraft maintained a good threshold height and a good threshold speed of 143 kt, setting up the flare with the expected parameters for a Boeing 777F.
Touchdown occurred 63 m beyond the designated touchdown zone with a good touchdown speed of 134 kt, but the rate was hard at minus 407 fpm. The touchdown point was misaligned by 14.7 m from the centreline and the total landing distance was 1,126 m, representing 31 % of the 3,671 m runway.
Rollout alignment was slightly misaligned, the aircraft deviating 14.1 m from the centreline during the rollout phase.
Refine lateral alignment to keep touchdown within a few metres of the centreline and adjust flare timing to reduce the hard touchdown rate, while maintaining the current speed and approach stability.
