Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,344 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 463 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking to the runway at LFPO Paris-Orly Airport, taking 7 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 07, with a takeoff distance of 1,710 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 164 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 15°C temperature and winds of 18 knots at 21°. The crosswind was 14 knots, while the headwind was 11 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Villeneuve-le-Roi, where the aircraft ascended from 1,289 feet above sea level to 3,260 feet, an increase of 1,971 feet in just 1 minute, covering a distance of 3 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting overhead Limeil-Brevannes and lasting for 12 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 20 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 1 mile south east of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, where the aircraft descended from 3,734 feet to 2,928 feet, a decrease of 805 feet in 2 minutes, covering 3 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting overhead Beauchamp and lasting for 10 minutes, during which it covered a distance of 22 nautical miles. The enroute descent started overhead Janvry, where the aircraft descended from 2,913 feet to 1,579 feet, a decrease of 1,333 feet in 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 06 at LFPO Paris-Orly Airport was made from the south west, heading 62.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,286 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway length of 3,344 meters, with a good threshold height. The threshold speed was good at 139 knots, while the touchdown distance was good at 465 meters. However, the touchdown speed of 131 knots was a little fast, and the touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute was fair.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, but the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 11°C temperature and winds of 15 knots at 20°, with a crosswind of 10 knots and a headwind of 12 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,036 meters, accounting for 31% of the runway. The taxiing to the parking from the runway took 5 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 61 nautical miles, taking 40 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,582 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed at LFPO Paris-Orly Airport, achieving a score of 97.6%. The final approach to runway 06 was conducted from the southwest, heading 62.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,286 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was well-executed, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 139 knots, which is within the acceptable range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's landing distance was 465 meters, which is within the acceptable range. However, the touchdown speed of 131 knots was slightly faster than desired, indicating that the pilot may have been able to flare the aircraft more effectively to achieve a smoother touchdown. The touchdown rate of -205 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, suggesting that the aircraft's descent was not excessively steep.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11°C and winds of 15 knots at 20°. The crosswind component was 10 knots, while the headwind component was 12 knots. These conditions presented a moderate challenge for the pilot, but the aircraft's performance was satisfactory.
The total landing distance of 1,036 meters was 31% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the aircraft's landing performance was good, and the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and safely. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 8.4 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's control inputs during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft's performance was satisfactory. However, there is room for improvement in terms of touchdown speed and runway rollout alignment.
