Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: centreline 10.4° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,671 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 520 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 777F departed Auckland International Airport (NZAA) on runway 23L, applying a take-off roll of 2,455 m which represented 67 % of the available runway. Liftoff was achieved at 158 kt. Ambient conditions were 14 °C with a wind of 21 kt from 278°, providing a 19 kt headwind component and a 10 kt cross-wind component.
Climb commenced approximately one mile southwest of NZAA, with the aircraft ascending from 887 ft asl to 1,434 ft asl, a gain of 547 ft achieved in one minute while covering four nautical miles.
Level cruise began three miles south of the airport and persisted for four minutes, during which the flight covered twelve nautical miles at the assigned altitude.
During final approach to runway 23L, the descent proceeded from 1,437 ft agl to 73 ft agl in 102 seconds, meeting the stabilisation gates criteria.
The aircraft touched down on runway 23L, whose length is 3,671 m. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 152 kt, and the aircraft crossed the touchdown zone 107 m beyond its start. Touchdown speed was recorded at 142 kt with a vertical rate of minus 210 fpm. The touchdown point was offset 9.6 m from the centreline, and the total landing distance measured 1,018 m, equivalent to 28 % of the runway.
Rollout continued with a slight centreline deviation of 10.5 m, after which the aircraft taxied to the parking area in one minute, covering less than one nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered 23 nm, required seven (units unspecified) of elapsed time, and consumed 1,277 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 777F commenced its final approach to runway 23L at NZAA Auckland International Airport under a temperature of 14 °C, wind 21 kt from 278°, with a 10 kt cross-wind component and a 19 kt head-wind component. The approach was assessed as unstable at the 1,000 ft gate, being off the centreline, and the aircraft descended from 1,437 ft agl to 73 ft agl in 102 seconds while scoring on the stabilisation gates.
At threshold the aircraft presented a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was slightly above target at 152 kt. The flare progressed to a touchdown point 107 m beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 142 kt judged good and a touchdown rate rated fair at minus 210 fpm. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.6 m from the centreline.
Touchdown occurred with the aircraft crossing the runway threshold at the indicated speed and rate, landing 107 m beyond the designated touchdown zone and remaining 9.6 m off the centreline. The speed of 142 kt and the rate of minus 210 fpm were recorded as per the data.
Rollout continued for a total landing distance of 1,018 m, representing 28 % of the 3,671 m runway, and the aircraft’s path was slightly misaligned by 10.5 m from the centreline during the rollout phase.
The 93.0 % score reflects a solid overall performance; concentrating on maintaining centreline alignment during the approach and at touchdown will tighten the remaining deviations. Ensuring a more precise lateral path will further improve the rollout alignment.
