MY FS FLIGHTS

Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,584 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,584 m of the 3,357 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 538 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Embraer E175 aircraft took off from runway 30R at KMSP Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, covering a takeoff distance of 1,439 meters, which was 59% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 150 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 3°C, with a wind speed of 9 knots at 320°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, and the headwind component was 9 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of KMSP, it began its enroute climb 1 mile northwest of the airport, rising from an altitude of 1,848 feet above sea level to 27,133 feet above sea level, an increase of 25,285 feet in 10 minutes. During this climb, the aircraft covered a distance of 76 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 3 miles west of Vineland, Minnesota, and lasted for 9 minutes, covering a distance of 159 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent 5 miles northwest of 59MN Cox-Coyour Memorial Field Roosevelt, Minnesota. The descent from 27,172 feet above sea level to 1,967 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,205 feet in 13 minutes, covered a distance of 104 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 36 at CYWG Winnipeg / James Armstrong Richardson International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 9.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,177 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 36 was successful, with a total landing distance of 1,496 meters, which was 45% of the runway length. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 138 knots.
The touchdown point was 115 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 129 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -202 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of -14°C, with a wind speed of 14 knots at 350°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, and the headwind component was 13 knots.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile in 2 minutes. The total flight distance was 346 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 39 minutes. The aircraft used 1,770 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Embraer E175 aircraft successfully landed at Winnipeg / James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (CYWG) with a score of 97.8%. The final approach was conducted from the south, heading 9.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,177 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft was on a steady course for a smooth landing on runway 36, which has a length of 3,357 meters.
Upon touchdown, the threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was above the target speed, coming in at 138 knots. This may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to maintain a higher speed for a smoother landing.
The touchdown point was 115 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center but still within an acceptable range. The touchdown speed of 129 knots was a bit faster than desired, which may have contributed to the slightly longer landing distance. The touchdown rate of -202 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, indicating that the aircraft was not excessively hard on the landing gear.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were quite cold, with a temperature of -14°C, and a moderate wind blowing at 14 knots from a direction of 350°. The crosswind component was minimal at 4 knots, while the headwind component was 13 knots, which helped to reduce the landing distance.
The total landing distance of 1,496 meters was 45% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was well under control as it taxied down the runway after landing. Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft touching down smoothly and coming to a stop in a controlled manner.
