MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,447 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 308 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Tecnam P2006T MKII started with a departure roll on runway 10 at LIME Milan Bergamo Airport/Antonio Locatelli Air Base. The takeoff distance was 311 meters, which was 12% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 69 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 15°C with no wind, providing ideal flying conditions.
The enroute climb began overhead Grassobbio in Lombardia, Italy. The aircraft climbed from 1,764 feet above sea level to 5,645 feet above sea level, covering 3,881 feet in altitude in 4 minutes while traveling 5 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the enroute level cruise phase began over Urgnano in Lombardia, Italy, lasting 9 minutes and covering 20 nautical miles.
The descent started 1 mile northeast of Ossago Lodigiano in Lombardia, Italy. The aircraft descended from 5,423 feet above sea level to 3,342 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,081 feet in 4 minutes while covering 2 nautical miles.
Another enroute level cruise phase started 1 mile northwest of Ossago Lodigiano in Lombardia, Italy, lasting 18 minutes and covering 9 nautical miles.
The final descent segment started overhead Torrevecchia Pia in Lombardia, Italy. The aircraft descended from 3,009 feet above sea level to 2,092 feet above sea level, a decrease of 918 feet in 2 minutes while covering 3 nautical miles.
The landing took place on runway 36 at LIML Milano Linate Airport, with a runway length of 2,447 meters. The height at threshold was 34 feet above ground level, and the speed at threshold was 71 knots. The touchdown occurred 306 meters from the threshold at a speed of 57 knots, with a vertical speed indicator reading of -94 feet per minute. The total landing distance was 624 meters, which was 25% of the runway length. The local weather at the time of landing was 15°C with no wind, providing favorable landing conditions.
Taxiing to the parking area from the runway took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 48 nautical miles, taking 52 minutes to complete, and consuming 24 kilograms of fuel.
Congratulations on achieving a remarkable aircraft landing score of 99.8%! This outstanding performance is a testament to the precision and skill demonstrated throughout the various phases of the landing process.
During the Approach Phase, the exceptional glideslope alignment suggests a meticulous approach to descending towards the runway. This accuracy likely allowed for a smooth transition into the Landing Phase, where the good threshold height and perfect landing flare further ensured a controlled and stable descent onto the runway.
In the Touchdown Phase, the excellent touchdown rate indicates a commendable level of timing and coordination in bringing the aircraft to the ground. Additionally, maintaining the appropriate speed throughout this phase speaks to a well-executed approach in managing the aircraft's velocity. The fact that the touchdown distance fell within the touchdown zone signifies a calculated and precise landing, while the runway touchdown position being 2.2 meters from the centerline demonstrates a consistent and centered touchdown.
Finally, during the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment being 3.6 meters from the centerline showcases a skillful control of the aircraft as it continues along the runway post-landing. This level of precision and attention to detail is crucial for ensuring a safe and efficient landing, and your ability to maintain such accuracy throughout each phase is truly commendable.
Overall, your exceptional performance in each phase of the landing process has resulted in an impressive landing score. Your focus, skill, and attention to detail are evident in the successful execution of each aspect of the landing, and this achievement is a reflection of your commitment to excellence in aviation. Keep up the great work, and continue striving for perfection in all your future landings!
