MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,883 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 378 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A319, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Bilbao Airport (LEBB). This process took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 12, with a takeoff distance of 1,153 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 149 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 22°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 144°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 4 knots. After departing from Bilbao, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting overhead Zamudio in the Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoa region of Spain. The climb took 17 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,208 feet above sea level to 34,185 feet, an increase of 32,976 feet. The distance covered during this climb was 93 nautical miles.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting 1 mile northwest of Sainte-Eulalie-en-Born in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. This cruise lasted for 24 minutes and covered a distance of 185 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 1 mile southwest of La Chapelle-Blanche-Saint-Martin in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The descent took 12 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 34,217 feet to 11,218 feet, a decrease of 22,999 feet. The distance covered during this descent was 83 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting overhead Allonnes in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. This cruise lasted for 5 minutes and covered a distance of 29 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting overhead Leudeville in the Ile-de-France region of France. The descent took 10 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 11,217 feet to 1,575 feet, a decrease of 9,642 feet. The distance covered during this descent was 12 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached Paris-Orly Airport (LFPO), it began its final approach to runway 25 from the east, heading 254.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,282 feet above ground level. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 14°C temperature and a wind speed of 2 knots at 200°. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot.
The aircraft landed on runway 25, which had a length of 2,883 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 128 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 380 meters, and the touchdown speed was 122 knots, which was also good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -231 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 3 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 410 nautical miles, and the total flight time was 81 minutes. The aircraft used 3,195 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at LFPO Paris-Orly Airport, achieving a score of 99.7%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the east, heading 254.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed smoothly on runway 25, which has a length of 2,883 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 128 knots was also within the acceptable range, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 380 meters was also good, indicating that the aircraft was able to touch down within a safe distance from the runway threshold.
The touchdown speed of 122 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -231 feet per minute (fpm) was fair. However, it is worth noting that a touchdown rate of -231 fpm is slightly higher than the ideal rate, which may indicate some minor issues with the aircraft's descent or the pilot's control inputs.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 14°C and a wind speed of 2 knots from 200°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and the headwind component was 1 knot, which did not significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,028 meters was 36% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop quickly and safely after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, and the aircraft was able to stop safely within a short distance from the runway threshold. The score of 99.7% reflects the high level of proficiency demonstrated by the pilot during the landing phase.
