Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,400 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 139 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A350-900 taxied from the parking area to runway 28 at LSZH Zürich Airport, a movement that lasted 12 minutes and covered 3 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 28, the aircraft accelerated over a takeoff distance of 1,306 m, representing 53 % of the runway, and lifted off at 156 kt. Ambient conditions were 29 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 210°, including a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 2 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced overhead Rumlang in the canton of Zurich, with the airplane ascending from 2,266 ft asl to 32,002 ft asl, an increase of 29,736 ft achieved in 13 minutes while covering 87 nm.
The first level cruise began over Grabenstetten, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and persisted for 16 minutes, during which 134 nm were traversed.
Descent started 1 mile north-west of Reiskirchen, Hessen, Germany, with the aircraft descending from 32,000 ft asl to 3,507 ft asl, a loss of 28,493 ft in 14 minutes while covering 88 nm.
A brief second cruise segment originated 1 mile north-west of Hattingen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, lasting 2 minutes and spanning 6 nm.
The subsequent descent began 2 miles east of EDLE Essen Mülheim Airport, descending from 2,998 ft asl to 1,409 ft asl, a reduction of 1,589 ft in 2 minutes and covering 7 nm.
For the final approach to runway 23R at EDDL Düsseldorf Airport, the aircraft approached from the north-east on a heading of 230.0° at 4 nm and 1,270 ft agl.
Landing on runway 23R, which is 2,406 m long, occurred with a threshold speed slightly above target at 138 kt. Touchdown was recorded 144 m down the runway at a speed of 137 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 252 fpm; the alignment at touchdown was very good. Local weather at the time was 27 °C with a wind of 4 kt from 270°, a 3 kt cross-wind component and a 4 kt head-wind component.
The runway rollout covered a total landing distance of 1,052 m, representing 44 % of the runway, and the rollout alignment was very good.
After exiting the runway, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a movement that took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 331 nm, took 55 minutes, and consumed 5,658 kg of fuel.
The Airbus A350-900 established a final approach to runway 23R at EDDL Düsseldorf from the north-east, maintaining a heading of 230.0° at 4 nm and 1,270 ft agl, with a good threshold height observed.
At threshold the aircraft’s speed was slightly above target at 138 kt.
Touchdown occurred 144 m down the runway; the touchdown speed of 137 kt was fast, the vertical rate was fair at minus 252 fpm, and runway touchdown alignment was very good.
The aircraft rolled out over a total landing distance of 1,052 m, representing 44 % of the 2,406 m runway, and rollout alignment was very good.
To bring the landing closer to optimal parameters, aim to achieve the target threshold speed and reduce the touchdown speed to the planned value, which will also help improve the vertical rate at touchdown. Adjusting these speeds will further enhance runway utilization while maintaining the high overall score of 98.9 %.
