Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 5,004 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 716 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
This flight was conducted in a PA34T Seneca V aircraft, departing from runway 23 at KSFZ North Central State Airport. Taxiing from the parking area to the runway took approximately 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll began on runway 23, and the takeoff distance was 1,507 feet, which accounted for 30% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 93 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 19 °F and a wind speed of 16 knots from a direction of 340 °. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a tailwind of 10 knots. The enroute level cruise phase of the flight started overhead KSFZ North Central State Airport in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and lasted for approximately 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The final approach to runway 05 at KSFZ North Central State Airport was conducted from the southwest, with a heading of 30.0 ° at an altitude of 193 feet above ground level (agl) and a distance of 0 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The landing on runway 05 was successful, with a threshold speed of 94 knots and a touchdown distance of 715 feet, which accounted for 27% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was slightly higher than ideal at 78 knots, but the touchdown rate was perfect at 1 foot per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 13 feet. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 18 °F and a wind speed of 16 knots from a direction of 339 °, resulting in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 10 knots. The total landing distance was 1,348 feet, and the runway rollout alignment was very good.
The total flight distance was 2 nautical miles, and the flight duration was approximately 3 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 5 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The PA34T Seneca V aircraft successfully landed at KSFZ North Central State Airport, achieving a high score of 98.6%. The final approach was conducted from the southwest, heading 30.0° at an altitude of 193 feet above ground level (agl) and 0 nautical miles from the runway. The aircraft touched down on runway 05, which has a length of 5,004 feet.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 94 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating that the pilot had maintained control and was on track for a smooth landing. The touchdown distance of 715 feet was within acceptable limits, further indicating a well-executed landing.
However, the touchdown speed of 78 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout. The touchdown rate of 1 foot per minute (fpm) was perfect, indicating that the aircraft touched down smoothly and without any significant deceleration. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 13 feet from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the approach or a minor issue with the aircraft's alignment.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 18°F and a wind speed of 16 knots from 339°. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 10 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilot successfully managed the aircraft and maintained control throughout the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,348 feet was 27% of the runway length, which is within acceptable limits. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control and was able to smoothly decelerate the aircraft after touchdown. Overall, the landing was successful, and the pilot demonstrated good skills and control throughout the approach and landing.
