Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,822 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 375 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The Airbus A320 then departed from runway 26R at EDDM Munich Airport, with a takeoff distance of 1,607 meters, which was 40% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 158 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 13°C, with a wind speed of 13 knots at a direction of 260°.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead EDDM Munich Airport. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 2,479 feet above sea level to 35,208 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,729 feet in just 13 minutes, covering a distance of 108 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise then began 1 mile east of Sulzheim, and lasted for 20 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 137 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started 2 miles north of Welver. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 34,974 feet above sea level to 1,276 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,698 feet in 29 minutes, covering a distance of 122 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 36R at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was made from the south, with a heading of 3.0°, and the aircraft was at an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing on runway 36R was made with a runway length of 2,822 meters, and the threshold height was slightly above the target, while the threshold speed was also slightly above the target at 140 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 372 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 137 knots, and the touchdown rate was heavy at -606 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centreline by 5.6 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at a direction of 320°. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the headwind was 5 knots. The total landing distance was 891 meters, which was 32% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned from the centreline by 16.2 meters. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, a process that took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 377 nautical miles, and the flight took a total of 75 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,172 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 36R at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 89.0%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 3.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,263 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was conducted with a slight deviation in heading, but this did not significantly impact the overall landing performance.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots, and the touchdown speed was a little fast at 137 knots. However, the touchdown distance of 372 meters was considered good. The touchdown rate was heavy at -606 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slightly aggressive descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 5.6 meters from the centerline, which could have contributed to the subsequent rollout alignment issues.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots from 320°. The crosswind component was 4 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots. These conditions were relatively calm, which should have facilitated a smooth landing.
The total landing distance of 891 meters was 32% of the available runway length, indicating that the aircraft had sufficient stopping distance. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 16.2 meters from the centerline, which may have been a result of the initial touchdown position deviation. Overall, the landing performance was satisfactory, but there were some minor deviations from the target parameters.
